As a transatlantic ship, Queen Mary 2 is designed to carry on one-week cruises without any stop. Her challenge is therefore to offer a sufficient number of activities on board. All passengers of all ages with all differents kinds of hobbies, will find something to do on the vessel, at every moment of the day. Following, is an overview of the indoors accommodations.

Passengers embarking on QM2 first find themselves to be led to the Grand Lobby. Like on many large vessels, this atrium embodies the heart of the ship : stretched on six decks, it is located in the very center of passengers' area, as such that no one can possibly miss it. One can find here the guests office, the shore excursion selling office, some shops, and a piano bar. Moreover, to symbolize perfectly the luxury and the refinement of Cunard Line, passengers can photograph themselves standing in the superb staircase which dominates royally the center of the place.

In the middle of the ocean, one of the most beloved activities is reading : deck 8, we discover a large library, counting more than eight thousand books. The majority of these are in English, but the main languages spoken on board (including French) are also represented. The library is located on the very fore part : very luminous, it offers a perfect view on the prow.
For the art enthusiasts, the deck 3 welcomes an important collection of paintings and pictures : with more than 1,500 artworks, QM2 is among one of the richest ships in this domain. Sales are regularly organized, this allowing also a renewing of the exposition.

The Seventh Art is not forgotten on board, with the Illuminations Cinema. Gererally, the cinema does up to three screenings each day. The dome noticeable on the picture is used for planetarium sessions, what is a first innovation in the cruise world. Indeed, passengers can come here to follow a veritable astronomy conference, the sky scheme being displayed on the dome. Then, astronomy enthusiasts will be able to continue this session by an outdoor sky observation, from the sundeck : high sea is one of the planet's best points of observation in terms of stars, thanks to the absence of light pollution.

In a so different atmosphere, Queen Mary 2 is fitted with a large casino, situated on deck 3. Many passengers will spend their afternoon or evening around the play tables, or the geld machines... An introductory lesson to game cards is even offered.
In the evening, as readers, cinema lovers or gamblers, close to everybody will join the Royal Court Theater after diner. It can welcome about 1,500 guests, and it offers each evening two unique shows. The show ranges from theater to music or dance, even music-hall. Once again, everyone will fits their taste.

The cruising day of the most dynamic often ends in an electrical ambiance, in the G32. This nightclub is a duplex located at the very end of deck 3 : according to the St Nazaire shipyards tradition, its name is the yard appellation to Queen Mary 2, before she was officially named on December 2003.
The grey decoration of G32 provides a modern and quite futurist appearance to the nights spent here ; the lower part is fitted with a bar purposing a large choice of cocktails.
